This role is focused on RF design, simulation, build, fabrication, test, and field troubleshooting. This position requires you have proven industry experience, with solid references. Your contributions will be essential in optimizing the RF systems that support the warfighter.What You'll DoArchitect, design, integrate, test, and optimize communications hardware across a variety of platforms and systemsConfigure, simulate, evaluate, and test RF systems and datalinksDevelop RF link budgets, co-site analysis and desense reportsCreate RF system interconnect diagramsSelect and manage radio, RF component, cable, and antenna vendorsSupport other functional engineering team's development effort with an understanding of communication system impacts and trades regarding RF systemsRepresent the communications sub-systems in vehicle-level cross-disciplinary trade-off studies that define and optimize the design of various vehicles and systemsRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field7+ years of industry experience with hands-on RF systems design, build, test, and troubleshootingThe ability to work collaboratively with other teams to help define product requirements, do trade analysis, develop specifications and conduct system level testsExperience using RF test equipment to design, build, and troubleshoot RF systemsKnowledge of aviation communications systems (radio, antennae, and similar systems) and tactical communication systemsKnowledge of the fundamentals of Ethernet and similar networksExperience in the electrical integration of avionics modules and payloads into C2 systems, UAVs, ground vehicles, and weapons systemsUnderstanding of hardware evaluation methodologies, including development of test cases/suites, performance monitoring, test automation, and data analysisExperience with practical communication equipment configuration and troubleshootingExperience with RF system modeling and simulationKnowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuitsUnderstanding of EMI, co-site, desense, and common system level integration issuesProficient with a variety of RF equipment vendorsCompetence with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, function generators, and automation of testsKnowledgeable in PythonMust be able to travel 25 to 75% of the timeCurrently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearancePreferred QualificationsUnderstanding and familiarity with FCC spectrum authorizationsUnderstanding and familiarity with MIL-STD-461 & MIL-STD-464The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
