Position
TKH Security, LLC (Park Assist) is seeking a Systems Engineer (SE) to commission Automated Parking Guidance Systems projects at our clients’ locations. The commissioning process follows established and documented procedures to integrate our hardware, software, and networking devices to achieve client acceptance. Working in association with assigned Project Managers, the SE position ensures that all system components—physical infrastructure, applications, and connectivity—work together seamlessly to meet business and technical requirements. This will include system configuration, developing and performing testing scenarios, creating and updating as-builts and tech manuals, working with and responding to requests from internal and external customers, and ensuring that all contractual terms of the project are met. It is a fully remote position with 50% travel requirement.
The ideal candidate will be well versed in construction sites, specifically installation of integrated technical systems. Understanding of 802.1q networking, DHCP servers and Linux, as well as CCTV or other relevant technology is required. We are looking for 1-3 years of relevant experience.
Success in the position will require excellent independent problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, self-management, and commitment to a professional approach as one of the principle liasions between the company and its clients.
Duties
· Be accountable for executing and reviewing the daily status of all assigned work on your projects and reporting any associated risks or opportunities to the Director of Technical Operations, North America.
· Increase project profitability through efficient work practices and self-management.
· Ensure the projects assigned to you are consistently done with only the highest standard of quality and workmanship.
· Ensure your systems engineer duties are performed per the guidance of the Project Manager, to help us stay on time and on budget
· Assist to ensure TKH Security fulfills all contractual and intended obligations to our customers, vendors and partners.
· Work with Director of Technical Operations to assist and support in a variety of ways as needed to keep project on time and on budget.
Qualifications
Education
College degree, preferred, in related field
Tech school certificate/degree or equivalent will be considered
Experience
At least 1-3 years of proven experience in related SE position in construction/technology industry.
o experience in CCTV, 802.1q networking, DHCP and Linux servers.
o proven success in customer service support role (working with sub-contractors) in a technical environment with firm understanding of networking principles, Layer 2and Layer 3, VLAN configurations, Windows server, Proxmox, and Linux distributions.
proficient in: Microsoft Office Suite of products, Atlassian collaboration software (eg Confluence, Jira).
proven experience and ability to be effective in customer facing relationships, excellent time management skills required/proven ability to prioritize, multitask
proven ability to be a self starter and work independently
comfortable and effective working under pressure and deadline driven
Salary Range: $60-100k, depending upon experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
