This role is responsible for programming, modifying, and troubleshooting SMT equipment to ensure efficient, high-quality printed circuit board (PCB) assembly. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering and production teams to improve processes, reduce downtime, and maintain high manufacturing standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nProgramming & Setup\nGenerate, optimize, and maintain programs for SMT equipment, including:\nPick-and-place machines (Mycronic or similar)\nPaste printing systems\nSolder Paste Inspection (SPI) – will be a plus\nAutomated Optical Inspection (AOI) – will be a plus\nUtilize BOM and XY data to create accurate machine programs\nCreate and modify component profiles\nDevelop and optimize solder paste and reflow oven profiles – will be a plus\nConfigure machine settings and maintain SMT assembly folders and documentation\nProcess Optimization & Troubleshooting\nAnalyze production data to improve SMT process performance and yields\nTroubleshoot programming and process issues impacting quality or throughput\nConduct first-article inspections and support new product introductions\nProvide technical support to production teams to minimize downtime\nGerber & Data Management\nModify Gerber files using CAM software\nPrepare load sheets for pick-and-place machines\nEnsure compliance with ESD and quality control protocols\nSMT Equipment Support\nOperate and support SMT line equipment, including:\nPick N Place Machine (Mycronic experience preferred)\nAOI\nSPI\nAutomated X-ray Inspection (AXI) systems\nAssist with diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions\nContinuous Improvement\nDemonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn additional SMT equipment and processes\nStay current with SMT technologies and industry best practices\nQualifications\nPrevious experience programming and supporting SMT equipment in a manufacturing environment\nStrong understanding of SMT processes, PCB assembly, and electronics manufacturing workflows\nExperience with Mycronic equipment preferred\nFamiliarity with SPI, AOI, and AXI systems\nAbility to read and interpret BOMs, XY data, and Gerber files\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills\nAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment\nCompensation & Benefits\nHourly pay: $25 – $35, based on experience and technical skill level\nStable production environment with modern SMT equipment\nOpportunity to work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams\nSupportive environment focused on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement\nWhy Join Us\nThis role offers hands-on technical responsibility and the opportunity to directly impact production quality and efficiency.
