The Systems Engineer’s main areas of responsibility are to act as an escalated resource for our Helpdesk Support Team by identifying and resolving complex technical issues, maintaining client uptime and improving their computing experiences through proactive maintenance, and supporting our Project Team, all while providing exceptional customer service.\nThis is an in-office position based out of St. Albans, VT. Candidates must reside in the St. Albans area and be readily available to commute to our office and client locations.\nQualified candidates will have 2-3 years of experience in a Systems Engineer role in addition to a minimum of 2 years in a Desktop Support role. Ideal candidates will have prior MSP experience and a proven track record of comprehensive IT administration and support of small, medium, and multi-site networks. Preference will be given to applicants with CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, and/or MCSA certifications.\nPrimary areas of responsibility:\nServe as an escalation point for the Helpdesk Support Team\nPerform advanced troubleshooting of customers’ network, hardware, and application issues\nMaintain timely, accurate notes and status of issues in the ConnectWise ticketing system\nProvide onsite technical assistance to our clients\nWork through proactive technical support items\nManage client security devices such as firewall configurations and firmware updates\nDocumentation of network configurations\nSupport the Projects Team with implementations\nQualified applicants should have 4 years of experience with these technologies:\nConnectWise PSA ticketing software\nIT Glue\nWindows Server OS (all versions) – design, implementation, and support\nWindows 10 and up – installation, configuration, and maintenance\nHyper-V / VMWare, installing and upgrading ESXi host and vCenter\nOffice 365 -multiple applications\nAzure\nVEEAM and Quest\nRemote Desktop Services\nLAN and WAN networking including VPNs, subnetting, VLANs, and routing\nActive Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and NAT\nPhysical Demand:\nSitting for extended periods of time\nRepetitive motions\nStanding and walking for brief periods of time\nLifting and racking (or un-racking) server components\nVTC Tech offers a competitive salary, employee health and dental benefits, and paid time off.\nApplicants may be subject to a background check.\nPlease include a brief cover letter about yourself and why you are the right person to join the VTC Tech team as a Systems Engineer.
