Apply today!\nEssential Functions\nGeneral Characteristics\nApplies a thorough knowledge of current principles and practices as related to the variety of aspects affecting the organization.\nApplies knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions.\nKeeps informed of new methods and developments affecting the organization.\nWorks on major projects or several projects with complex features.\nTechnical Responsibilities\nServes as the technical specialist for Construction Material Testing related concepts and practices in Texas.\nKeeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs or applications.\nInterprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates assignments.\nManagerial Responsibilities\nOversight of multiple Construction Material Testing laboratories in Texas.\nSupervises a staff of engineers, scientists, technicians, and administrative staff.\nPlans, schedules, or coordinates the preparation of documents or activities for multiple major projects or is responsible for an entire program of an organization.\nReviews operational procedures to ensure compliance with application policies and performance measures.\nClient Responsibilities\nKnows and understands the characteristics and needs of the client as well as the client’s objectives.\nSeeks out client interaction.\nDevelops client relationships.\nUses client interactions to look for cross-selling opportunities.\nActs as the Client Champion, responsible for all aspects of the client’s needs.\nFinancial Responsibilities\nResponsible for financial management of Construction Material Testing projects, staff, and equipment.\nBusiness Development Responsibilities\nSeeks out business opportunities with potential clients.\nSeeks out networking opportunities where interaction with potential clients will be optimum, with internal reporting accomplished.\nProvides presentations to clients/potential clients.\nBS degree, Civil/Geotechnical Engineering\nPE License Required\nExcellent writing, organizational, and communications skills are essential\nMust be personable and able to communicate with clients and staff at all levels\nThis position requires critical thinking and analysis; frequent sitting, standing, walking, and bending; working in all weather conditions; and driving to and from project sites.\nSCI is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any applicant.
