Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and efficiency of building environments. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of HVAC systems, including refrigeration, boilers, and air conditioning units. As a skilled service technician, you will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and contribute to property maintenance projects that keep facilities running smoothly. Your mechanical expertise and field service experience will be essential in delivering top-tier maintenance and repair solutions across diverse settings. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and ventilation systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Diagnose mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; perform necessary repairs or replacements promptly. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately install or service complex systems. Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe repairs and component replacements for refrigeration or boiler setups. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all field activities; communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding system status or required follow-up. Operate company vehicles safely as a driver while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols during field service visits. Skills Proven experience in construction environments with a strong understanding of property maintenance procedures. Service technician experience with HVAC systems, refrigeration units, appliances repair, and boiler operation. Ability to read schematics accurately and apply HVAC design principles during installation or troubleshooting. Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, welding, equipment repair, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Familiarity with HVAC/R components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, and control systems. Skilled in using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting; capable of performing welding repairs when needed. Experience with field service operations requiring mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills in diverse settings.
