Lead Residential Plumber (State College)
We are recruiting for a Lead Plumber for a customer in St. College. This role will oversee plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs, combining advanced technical skills with team leadership. Responsibilities include supervising crews, ensuring code compliance, managing on-site materials, and diagnosing complex issues on residential or commercial projects. They typically train apprentices and report to project managers.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Supervision: Directs field crews, coordinates daily tasks, and mentors apprentices or junior technicians.Technical Expertise: Installs, repairs, and maintains pipes, fixtures, and water/gas/drainage systems in compliance with local codes.Project Management: Interprets blueprints, estimates jobs, lays out work, and manages materials and equipment.Quality & Safety Control: Inspects work to ensure quality standards and adheres strictly to safety protocols.Communication: Communicates with clients, general contractors, and project managers to ensure customer satisfaction and project timelines.Troubleshooting: Diagnoses complex plumbing issues and determines the necessary materials and costs.QualificationsLicensure: Active Journeyman or Master Plumber license, depending on state or local requirements.Experience: Generally 4+ years of experience in residential or commercial plumbing.Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and blueprint-reading skills.Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of plumbing codes and safety regulations.Common Job RequirementsValid driver's license.Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment.
