Maintenance Supervisor

About the CompanyThe Maintenance Supervisor leads shift-level maintenance execution at the Lebanon facility, ensuring equipment reliability, minimal downtime, food safety compliance, and team performance across the production floor. This is a hands-on, operator-facing role - the Supervisor is the technical and tactical leader for their crew during their shift. The Supervisor partners closely with the Maintenance Manager on PM execution, troubleshooting, shift handoffs, and supports the facility's capacity expansion as new production lines come online.About the RoleThe Maintenance Supervisor leads shift-level maintenance execution at the Lebanon facility, ensuring equipment reliability, minimal downtime, food safety compliance, and team performance across the production floor.ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day maintenance execution during assigned shift, including responding to breakdowns, directing technicians, and keeping production lines running.Execute scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance work orders using MaintainX (CMMS).Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and refrigeration issues alongside the crew.Manage shift handoffs with discipline - communicate active issues, in-progress work, and outstanding risks to incoming shift leadership.Coach and develop maintenance technicians on best practices, safety standards, and technical skills.Enforce safety, food safety, and GMP standards during shift operations in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.Document downtime events, root causes, and corrective actions; surface recurring issues for PM program improvement.Coordinate with Production Supervisors on shift to align maintenance work with production schedules and minimize disruption.Support new production line commissioning, equipment installations, and PM development.Maintain parts staging and tool readiness for shift operations; flag critical inventory gaps to the Maintenance Manager.Escalate appropriately to the Maintenance Manager - own what can be owned, escalate what needs visibility.Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the shift.QualificationsMinimum 3 years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing or a similar regulated production environment.1+ year in a lead, supervisory, or working-foreman role.Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot motors, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and packaging/processing equipment.Working knowledge of refrigeration systems preferred.Working knowledge of electrical systems sufficient to direct technician work, read schematics, and support PLC-controlled equipment.Familiarity with CMMS systems; MaintainX experience a plus (equivalent platforms such as SAP PM, eMaint, or Maximo transferable).Understanding of food safety and regulatory compliance standards (HACCP, GMPs, SQF/BRC, OSHA).Strong communication and shift-handoff discipline.Sound judgment under pressure - able to triage and prioritize without escalating every issue.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and maintenance reporting tools.Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.Work Environment and Physical RequirementsMust be willing and able to work a consistent fixed shift: 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) or 3rd shift (11:30 PM - 7:00 AM).Must be able to work in cold, wet, and noisy environments typical of food production areas.Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.Flexibility to respond to occasional shift changes or coverage needs.
