Job Title: Structural + Thermal EngineerLocation: Milwaukee, WIClient: ClariosPriority: HighJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Structural + Thermal Engineer with strong expertise in mechanical and thermal simulation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in FEA-driven design and validation, particularly within battery systems. This role focuses on structural integrity, thermal management, and system-level analysis—not purely CFD-focused work.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and validate mechanical and thermal models for battery systems using FEA tools.Perform structural simulations including crash, crush, vibration durability, and mechanical shock analysis.Design and optimize thermal management systems for Lead-acid, Li-Ion, and Super Capacitor battery packs.Execute and guide FEA simulations to ensure mechanical robustness of battery designs.Interpret simulation results and drive design improvements through iterative analysis.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and validation.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, including offshore teams.Support prototype assembly, testing, and validation activities.Ensure compliance with automotive standards and best engineering practices.Required QualificationsMS/MTech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.5–8 years of relevant industry experience.Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with FEA tools, specifically ANSA and ABAQUS.Strong background in mechanical and thermal modeling and simulation.Experience in structural analysis including crash, vibration, and shock scenarios.Solid understanding of mechanical system design using simulation-driven approaches.Strong communication and organizational skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Li-Ion battery systems, especially thermal management and mechanical design.Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience.Exposure to validation testing and correlation with simulation results.Experience working with global/offshore engineering teams.Key SkillsFEA (ANSA, ABAQUS)Structural Analysis (Crash, Crush, Vibration, Shock)Thermal Modeling & SimulationBattery Systems (Li-Ion, Lead Acid, Super Capacitors)Mechanical Design & ValidationCross-functional Collaboration
