Candidates will have an opportunity to work on large, moderate and small projects of various building and construction types for concrete, steel, masonry, cold-formed steel, wood, high seismic and high wind load structures. You will be a contributing team member performing engineering related work with internal and external disciplines during planning, design and construction administration phases of projects.\n‍\nResponsibilities\nPerforms engineering analysis and design for structural elements and components\nCandidates will be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members while working under the direction of senior staff\nAssist Project Managers with analysis and design on large to moderate projects\nAssign tasks and direct entry-level staff with design and analysis\nCoordinate with BIM staff on development of construction documents\nContractor assistance with interpretation of construction documents and resolution of field issues\nReview shop drawings\nPerform structural observation\n‍\nRequirements\nProfessional Engineer’s License (PE)\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering\nMinimum 3+ years of building design experience\nAdvanced knowledge of current industry software, including ETABS, SAP, RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, RISA, SAFE, AutoCAD, Revit\nAbility to understand and interpret current building codes and adopted standards\nPositive and professional attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients in person or virtually.\nU.S. Citizen, U.S. Resident with a valid green card, or legally authorized to work in the U.S.\n‍\nIf you are interested in joining our dynamic and growing company, please send your resume and cover letter to info@lochsa.com.
