Cannabis Cultivation Technician
North Adams, MAThe Cultivation Technician/Cultivation Associate will work as part of a team of associates in our state-of-the-art legal cannabis cultivation/production facility located in North Adams, MA and will report to the Cultivation Manager. The associate will work to ensure the product quality meets Temescal Wellness’ standards of production while continuing to improve the department as a whole. This requires communicating daily with supervisors and reporting the status of each flower room. The cultivation associate will be supplied the right tools and training to grow within the cultivation team of Temescal Wellness. This position will demand vigilance and ambition all while expanding the individual’s knowledge of cannabis cultivation in its entirety. Candidates with horticultural experience are strongly encouraged to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily room maintenance checks to ensure everything is operating correctlyPerform daily plant health checks to keep record of plant health through the growth cycleIdentify/spot and report: pests, poor plant health, nutrient deficiencies and toxicitiesEnvironmental monitoring and reportingTransplant vegetative plants into larger potsPerform plant work in accordance with the needs of the production scheduleMaintain a clean working environmentWork with either vegetative or flowering cannabis plants dailyHarvest plants at the end of their growth cycleBreak down harvested plants for processingFill pots for transplant at the beginning of their growth cycleTrellising benches during flowering cycleIrrigation line installation and maintenanceFollow and execute the company's standard operating proceduresKey RequirementsAt least 21 years of ageAbility to pass a background checkHigh energy, enthusiasm and the willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.Ability to work with uniformityPreferred: 1 plus years of greenhouse/horticultural/agricultural experience Data entry skillsDetail orientedTime management skillsWorks well in a team environmentAbility to stand on hard surfaces for extended periodsCan physically lift up to, not exceeding, 50 lbs.Ability to work in high temperatures and humilities found in cultivation roomsAbility to multitaskStrong verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with Massachusetts policies and regulations governing recreational/medical cannabis productionCompensation And BenefitsCompetitive hourly wage starting at $18 per hourEmployer pays approximately 75% of medical, dental and vision insurance, including for family membersMission-driven organization with an excellent work-life balanceWork HoursThe Cultivation Associate role is a full-time position.
