{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"03a209152ddef3a17af8bac7","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/03a209152ddef3a17af8bac7","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/03a209152ddef3a17af8bac7","title":"Database Administrator","description":"MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nEstablish and maintain database code and interfacing accounts.\nAdminister, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s), table partitions, and DB security compliance.\nOrganize and format data for efficient query and storage processes, as well as report distribution.\nProvide server administration with a variety of database products that include Oracle, SQL Server, and Sybase.\nPerform disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data.\nPerform database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability.\nSupport data modeling activities by way of prototype database implementation.\nCoordinate database architecture changes with Database Engineers (DBEs).\nDirect the monitoring, administration, and implementation of performance on database systems as well as database performance optimization, developing/changing database indices, redesigning database structure, and reloading data into a database.\nDirect the installation of database management systems, databases, tables, and views.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n10+ years' experience as a Database Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.\nBachelor's degree in technical discipline; an additional 4 years of database administration or engineering experience might be substituted for a degree.\nExperience with any of the following database and application server platforms: PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or Sybase.\nClearance Requirements:\nActive TS/SCI with Polygraph.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.\nNeeds to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.\nFrequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
