We exist to advance the health, safety, and liberation of LGBTQ+ people of color across the Capital Region and beyond by building power, shifting systems, and showing up for our community every day.Through advocacy, housing access, violence prevention, health equity initiatives, and culturally affirming education, IOOV centers racial, gender, and economic justice in all that we do.Our signature events, including BIPOC Pride, Jazz in July Gala, and the Unity Through Diversity Health Conference, are powerful platforms for visibility, fundraising, and community transformation.Position SummaryIOOV is seeking a Senior Events Coordinator to take a lead role in executing high-impact events while supporting sponsorship engagement and partnership growth.This is not an entry-level coordination role. This is for someone ready to own key pieces of event strategy and execution , manage moving parts with confidence, and help drive revenue through events.You will work directly with the Chief Executive Officer and senior leadership, gaining exposure to high-level decision-making, partnerships, and organizational growth .What You'll LeadEvent Execution & OwnershipLead coordination of large-scale events (500+ attendees) from planning through executionOwn timelines, run of show, logistics, and on-site production flowManage vendors, venues, permits, and contracts with professionalism and accountabilityEnsure events are executed on time, on budget, and at a high levelRevenue & Sponsorship SupportSupport sponsorship outreach, tracking, and follow-upAssist in building and executing sponsorship packagesHelp ensure sponsor visibility and benefit fulfillmentContribute to revenue goals tied to eventsSystems & OperationsBuild and maintain strong event planning systems and workflowsTrack budgets, attendance, sponsorships, and performance metricsSupport post-event reporting and continuous improvementBrand & ExperienceHelp shape the look, feel, and energy of IOOV eventsEnsure all experiences reflect our mission and community impactCollaborate with communications to align promotion and messagingCommunity Presence• Represent IOOV at events, meetings, and community spaces• Serve as a strong, professional, and welcoming ambassadorQualifications3+ years of experience in event planning, coordination, or productionProven ability to manage complex events or multiple events simultaneouslyExperience working with vendors, venues, and logisticsStrong organizational and project management skillsConfident communicator with relationship-building abilityComfortable working in fast-paced, high-visibility environmentsWillingness to work evenings and weekendsBachelor's degree preferred.
