Responsible for their safety and well-being while completing the daily work schedule, ensuring quality control, minor troubleshooting of machines, training, and performing production related activities on all bindery equipment and other equipment as deemed necessary/appropriate by supervisor. In addition to establishing and improving production standards, the role includes working with others in the company to provide the highest level of customer service.\n\n Benefits offered included Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long Term Disability, AFLAC, 401k Retirement plan, PTO and 6 paid Holidays\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nComplete job tasks\nAn understanding and ability to use all bindery machines (and others as assigned by supervisor) to complete job tasks.\nAssist in the training and development of other team members and ongoing self learning.\nWork in a team environment with other machine operators and supervisors regarding staffing needs.\nPerform preventive maintenance.\nSafely operate fork lift adhering to all safety regulations\nAdhere to and enforce all safety regulations.\nFollow department operational policies and standard operating procedures.\nPerform all other duties assigned and those that may be necessary to achieve company and departmental goals.\nRequirements:\n\nQualifications\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactory. The requirements listed below are a representation of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.\n\nWorking knowledge of printing, finishing, mailing, and related processes.\nExcellent working knowledge of the job specific equipment.\nLeadership skills.\nMust be flexible and very accommodating towards the changing work schedule and able to work OT as needed.\nGood oral and written communication skills.\nExcellent organizational and follow-through skills.\nMust be able to work well with diverse groups or individuals.\nMust be able to carry out multi-task projects simultaneously.\nBasic computer operation skills.\nMust be able to understand and clearly communicate the company’s vision.\nRegular and consistent attendance.\n\nEducation and/or Experience\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Printing/Finishing experience a plus, but not necessary. On-the-job training provided.\n\nLanguage Skills\n\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\n\nMathematical Skills\n\nAbility to apply basic math concepts (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).\n\nReasoning Ability\n\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.\n\nPhysical and Working Conditions\n\nThe job is performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to large equipment, noise, and materials related to the printing process.
