You will play a key role in New Product Introduction (NPI), process development, and the continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes. Leveraging advanced machining technologies, innovative cutting strategies, and Lean manufacturing principles, you will optimize quality, productivity, and cost while supporting production across a variety of precision machining operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nUse solid models and detailed prints from Creo or Mastercam to develop work holding and tooling.\nWrite CNC programs using the latest version of Mastercam.\nProve out programs and ensure that they are production ready.\nSupport execution of OQ / PQ activities as required for the process/products.\nDevelop detailed work instructions as needed.\nSupport operations with problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical issues.\nMaintain configuration management by properly naming and saving electronic files and programs.\nComplete all work assignments, design, and development projects with minimal supervision.\nContribute to the team environment by accomplishing results while cohesively working as a team member.\nWork within the framework and always abide by VulcanForms QMS (Quality Management System) and the requirements of the OSHA safety policies and procedures.\nPromote the use and adherence to our company's 7S and LEAN philosophies.\nQualifications\n5+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.\nStrong working knowledge of 3D modeling and CAM programming using Mastercam.\nExpert knowledge of CNC machining, including:\n3-axis and 5-axis milling\nSingle- and dual-spindle turning\nEDM machining\nProven ability to read engineering drawings, interpret GD&T, composite tolerances, and support dimensional inspection requirements.\nThorough understanding of fixture and workholding design utilizing SMED principles.\nStrong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nDemonstrated ability to make sound technical decisions while working independently.\nHigh attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.\nContinuous improvement mindset focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting additive manufacturing production environments.\nExperience programming complex aerospace, medical, defense, or high-precision manufacturing components.\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.\nFamiliarity with ERP or MES systems.\nExperience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and process validation activities.\n\nVulcanForms offers a competitive salary and equity package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
