Janitorial Worker (Abington) - Grade 10 Penn State is searching for a full time Janitorial Worker (Abington) - Grade 10 to join the team. Duties include:Collect waste from work area; wash chalkboard, gather dirty erasers and supply clean erasersDust, dust mop floors, wet mop floors, spot clean and vacuum rugs, runners, etc., rotate runners and clean stairwaysWash glass, mirrors, light fixtures, wainscoting, railings, toilet fixtures, etc., clean restrooms and stock dispensersWash and polish furniture, brass, etc.Maintain equipment and materials used to perform work in a clean and orderly conditionLock doors, close and lock windows and turn out lightsReport needed repairs to supervisorJob Requirements: Requires the use of simple writing, adding, subtracting, whole numbers and the carrying out of instructions; and the use of fixed gauges and direct reading instruments and devices in which interpretation is not required. Up to 3 months of effective experience.This position is part of the bargaining unit represented by Teamsters Local Union No. 8.
