Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.\nResponsibilities for this Position:\nROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:\n\nWe are seeking a detail-oriented Software Integration Engineer to join our team. This entry-level position supports the integration, testing, and documentation of complex multi-platform systems. The ideal candidate is a motivated problem-solver eager to learn and grow in a hands-on technical environment.\n\nResponsibilities\nIntegrate software components and subsystems across Windows and Linux operating environments\nSupport configuration and maintenance of virtualized infrastructure and containerized environments (Kubernetes)\nPerform black box and grey box testing to validate system functionality and identify defects\nWrite and maintain technical documentation including test procedures, integration guides, and system configuration records\nAssist with scripting and automation tasks to support integration and DevOps workflows\nCollaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot integration issues and verify system requirements\nParticipate in configuration management and version control practices\nSupport system builds, deployments, and environment provisioning\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field\nMust be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance\nStrong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment\nWillingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving technical requirements\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with Windows and/or Linux system administration\nFamiliarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)\nExposure to containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)\nKnowledge of one or more scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)\nUnderstanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls)\nExperience writing database queries (SQL)\nAwareness of cybersecurity principles and best practices\nExperience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.)\nCoursework, internships, or project experience in software testing or systems integration\nIdentifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation\nOur Commitment to You:\nAn exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development.\nResearch oriented work, alongside award winning teams developing practical solutions for our nation’s security\nFlexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule)\nCompetitive benefits, including 401k matching, flex time off, paid parental leave, healthcare benefits, health & wellness programs, employee resource and social groups, and more\nSee more at gdmissionsystems.com/careers/why-work-for-us/benefits\n\nWorkplace Options:\nThis position is on site.\nWhile on-site, you will be a part of the Groton Connecticut team.\n\nSalary Note: This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
