This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career engineer who enjoys building, testing, troubleshooting, and solving real engineering challenges alongside a collaborative team.\nLocation: Grand Blanc, MI | Onsite 5 days per week\nOur Team\nAt Molex Connected Mobility, we're shaping how vehicles communicate, developing technologies that are integrated directly into next-generation vehicles, from 5G connectivity to advanced antenna systems.\nWhat You Will Do\nBring new automotive antenna products to life by developing and executing validation plans that ensure performance in real-world conditions\nDesign and build hands-on test setups, fixtures, and methods to evaluate product reliability and functionality\nRun mechanical and environmental testing (vibration, thermal, durability) on prototypes and production parts\nTurn test data into insight, analyzing results to understand material behavior, product performance, and failure points\nInvestigate and troubleshoot failures, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and drive improvements\nSupport Design of Experiments (DOE) and validation activities to solve complex engineering and production challenges\nCollaborate with internal teams and external labs to keep testing on track and aligned with program milestones\nCommunicate results and recommendations clearly through reports and presentations to stakeholders and customers\nHelp evolve lab capabilities by improving test methods, tools, and validation processes\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field\nMinimum 6 years of hands-on experience planning and executing environmental and mechanical testing, including vibration, thermal cycling, thermal shock, humidity, durability, and other qualification testing methods.\nDemonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, or test requirements through coursework or project work\nWorking knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals (e.g., stress, strain, fatigue, thermal effects)\n\nExperience documenting and communicating technical results (e.g., lab reports, test summaries, presentations)\nBasic proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)\nAbility to communicate technical concepts and test results to both technical and non-technical audiences, including internal teams and external partners (e.g., customers or suppliers)\nLess than 5% travel\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nInternship, co-op, or project experience in product validation, testing, or mechanical design\nHands-on experience setting up or executing lab-based tests\nExposure to failure analysis, troubleshooting, or root-cause problem solving\nFamiliarity with automotive, electronics, or antenna-related systems\nExperience with Design of Experiments (DOE)\nExperience creating CAD models or drawings for fixtures, jigs, or prototypes Why This Role\nWork on real automotive programs with direct impact on vehicle performance and connectivity\nBuild hands-on experience testing hardware used in production vehicles\nGain early ownership and exposure across the full product development lifecycle\nCollaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to accelerate your growth\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
