Airport Maintenance Technician

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor: Airfield, the Airfield Maintenance Technician performs skilled and semiskilled work in the maintenance of the airfield, buildings, equipment, vehicles and grounds. Key Responsibilities Maintains airfield to FAA standards, including snow and ice removal, turf maintenance, fence repair, and lighting systems upkeep. Performs asphalt and concrete laying projects. Conducts continuous airfield inspections, looking for foreign objects and non-compliant conditions in accordance with FAR Part 139. Ensures compliance with Airport safety and security regulations pertaining to CFR 1542 and the Airport Security Program. Assists in maintenance of county owned buildings and airport vehicles and equipment. Assists in airfield emergencies by providing information, escorts, gate security, etc. Assists in the dissemination of critical information to tenants.
