Maintenance Manager

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations within a fast-paced automotive interior components manufacturing environment. In this leadership role, you will oversee a team of maintenance technicians, drive preventative maintenance programs, and ensure all production equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems with the leadership skills to build a high-performing maintenance team and partner closely with production and engineering departments to meet plant goals.Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise, mentor, and develop a team of industrial maintenance technicians across all shiftsEstablish clear performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and support ongoing training and certificationCoordinate shift coverage, on-call rotations, and work assignments to ensure 24/7 maintenance supportOversee all daily maintenance and repair activities on production machinery for automotive interior componentsEnsure rapid troubleshooting and resolution of electrical circuit, hydraulic system, and mechanical failures to minimize production downtimeReview, approve, and prioritize work orders, maintenance requests, and emergency repairsRead, interpret, and ensure team proficiency with machine schematics, blueprints, and technical manualsDevelop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive preventative maintenance (PM) program across all production equipmentTrack key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), mean time between failures (MTBF), and PM compliance ratesPartner with engineering and production to lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action on recurring equipment issuesManage maintenance department budget including labor, parts, and contractor costs; identify cost-saving opportunitiesOversee spare parts inventory, ensuring critical components are stocked to minimize downtime riskSource and manage vendor and contractor relationships for specialized repairs and equipment servicingEnsure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA, plant, and customer safety requirementsLead and participate in safety audits, risk assessments, maintain records and incident investigations related to equipment and maintenance activities.Qualification5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership roleProven expertise in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical maintenance in a production environmentStrong ability to read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical documentationDemonstrated success managing a preventative maintenance program in a manufacturing setting.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.High school diploma or equivalent requiredPreferredExperience in automotive or Tier 1/Tier 2 automotive components manufacturingPLC troubleshooting and programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent).Associate’s degree, technical degree, or relevant trade certification (e.g., electrician journeyman, millwright).Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) such as SAP PM, Fiix, or eMaint.Lean Manufacturing or TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) experience.
