Grain Truck Driver

Location: Garrett Job Title: Grain Transport Driver Department: Trucking, LLC. Reports to: VP of Grain Summary: Transport grain to/from grain facilities as instructed by Grain Merchandiser in a safe manner, in an established territory. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Supports Ag Plus’ stated Vision, Mission, and Business Values. Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times. Provides outstanding and courteous customer service. Read and follow company employee policies. Conveys information to the Operations Manager that may be valuable to fellow team members and Ag Plus. Supports Ag Plus’ programs, promotions and policies. Delivers or ensures delivery of ordered products. Maintain the truck in good working order which would include but not limited to keeping the truck clean and presentable, report all discrepancies of the truck, (repair the ones that you can), maintain records for work repairs the truck has had. Provides timely reports as required. Attends meetings as requested. Handles customers' complaints and questions. Monitors and follows-up on it until final resolution. Actively seeks customer’s satisfaction through resolution of problems. Keeps informed of and follows approved safety practices in the performance of job responsibilities. Education and/or Experience High School diploma or GED; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software and Internet software. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid CDL with Class A endorsements, and any other necessary endorsements.
