The Driver will utilize a box truck or suitable SIG SAUER vehicle, pallet jack and or fork truck to load and unload materials for processing. The Driver will be responsible for performing quality checks and counts while at the vendor. The Driver will be responsible for learning the OSP Technician function so that they are able to perform in this position while not performing the responsibilities of a Driver.\nFLSA: Non-exempt\nJob Duties and Responsibilities:\nMaintains a clean vehicle, and monitors the vehicles maintenance schedule.\nAssures that all safety requirements are met to meet DOT guidelines.\nFollows laws pertaining to the removal of snow, and ice from the top of the vehicle.\nAssures that loads are positioned, and or strapped as to be stable during transport.\nPerforms quality inspections, and verifies counts at the vendor as instructed.\nIf driving duties are not required, the driver will assist in the OSP area as assigned.\nParticipate in and sustain 5S Standards.\nMust follow all required safety, and ISO procedures.\nRegular on-site attendance, and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.\nMay be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.\nMay be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.\nMiscellaneous duties as assigned.\nEducation/Experience & Skills:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required, related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nPossesses valid driver’s license with acceptable drivers record.\nTypically requires 5 years of experience driving box truck. Experience driving large vehicles a plus. CDL is not required.\nMust be capable of passing DOT physical.\nMust be able to convey ideas and information clearly, concisely, and accurately to others, in both verbally and in written form.\nWorking Conditions:\nRegularly perform repetitive tasks.\nDrives company vehicle in accordance with DMV rules and regulations, and will act in a safe and courteous manner at all times\nHas the ability to manage moving large loads using a pallet jack or fork truck in/out of the vehicle safely.\nShifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours.\nWork is primarily standing (90 + % of the shift) except for lunch and break periods.\nThe duties of this job normally require exposure to a typical manufacturing environment.
