This position assists the General Manager in supervising daily operations. In addition, the Operations Manager monitors employee performance, identifies safety issues, and addresses operational needs. The salary range for this opportunity is $50,000 – 85,000 DOE.\nBENEFITS:\nAn excellent benefits package including medical, vision, and dental coverage, and 401(k) savings plan\nPaid vacation and sick time and 12 paid holidays! *\nMonday – Friday work week\nOpportunities for career advancement nationwide.\nDiscounts on cell phone plans, new cars, and more through the Perk Spot program!\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nCoordinate fleet vehicle repairs and maintenance.\nManages staff members in the repair, preventive maintenance, and servicing of heavy trucks, light vehicles, and equipment.\nManages maintenance personnel including recommending discipline.\nMonitors technician performance in a manner consistent with company/location policy.\nEnsures that all mechanics have the proper licenses and certifications including yard permits.\nManages and inspects major, minor, and vendor repairs.\nProvides technical assistance and on-the-job training to mechanics.\nDevelops work orders and the evaluation of all repairs performed by both the technicians and outside vendors.\nAssists to ensure DOT compliance and inspections of revenue and service equipment.\nOther duties to ensure the efficient operation of the maintenance facility.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n3 years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of all types of automotive and transit equipment or an equivalent combination of training and experience.\nKnowledge of diesel engines and/or internal combustion engines, automatic transmissions, air brakes, steering, and drivelines.\nMust possess a basic understanding of the theory of electricity and be able to read and understand wiring diagrams.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence.\nASE certification a plus.\nProficiency using Microsoft Office (including Word, Outlook, and Excel)\nMust be able to handle sensitive and confidential information/situations.\nMust be a team player\nMust be able to work well with a diverse group of internal customers.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nMust be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.\nMust be able to lift up to 40 lbs.\nMust be able to work 80% indoors and 20% out of doors.\nPRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:\nMust submit to drug testing and a background check\nAbout us:\nTransdev Services Inc. is the largest private sector operator of various modes of passenger transit in North America.
