{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"02b4d21912600916aa7452f2","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/02b4d21912600916aa7452f2","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/02b4d21912600916aa7452f2","title":"Process Development Scientist","description":"SUMMARY\nTo conceive, design, implement and execute specific scientific experiments, which contribute to the successful completion of goals and/or projects under general guidance of supervisor.\nShift\nAdministrative Shift (08:00AM – 05:00PM) with flexibility to occasionally cover non-standard shifts\nEDUCATION\n-Doctorate OR\n-Master + 2 years of Scientific experience OR\n-Bachelors + 4 years of Scientific experience.\nPREFERRED BACKGROUNDS\nChemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n-Experience with training in vision systems (i.e., Cognex, Systech, Syntegon, Koerber, A3 CVP, PDA 593)\n- Automated Visual Inspection (AVI) Expertise (Key Differentiator - Highly Desired)\nDirect experience with automated visual inspection systems, such as:\no Machine vision–based inspection platforms\no Camera systems, lighting optimization, optics\no Image acquisition and defect detection logic\nKnowledge of AVI system qualification and validation:\no IQ/OQ/PQ\no Performance qualification using defect kits\nExperience developing or supporting:\no Inspection recipes\no Defect libraries and defect standards\no Sensitivity and false reject optimization\n- Familiarity with manual vs automated inspection correlation\n-Data, Statistics & Digital Skills\nStrong statistical background, including:\no Sampling plans (AQL, zero acceptance, etc.)\no Inspection capability studies\no Measurement system analysis (MSA)\nExperience with data analysis tools:\no JMP, Minitab, Python, or equivalent\nComfort working with large inspection datasets to:\no Trend defect rates\no Support process improvements\no Drive inspection strategy decisions\nFUNCTIONS\n-Conceives and designs, executes or evaluates, and interprets experimental strategies.\n-Provides input to new processes to generate robust and reliable data.\n-Ensures that studies are conducted in compliance with the respective protocol and applicable guidelines and regulations.\n-Designs, monitors or conducts experimental strategies with general guidance from supervisor.\n-Provides data analysis and interpretation, and assesses impact of the data on the project.\n-Keeps current in field of scientific expertise and areas relevant to their function.\n-Monitors field of expertise, including literature and technology development, and communicates relevant observations.\n-May introduce advanced scientific methods.\n-Develops and implements new and novel protocols to address specific issues.\n-May represent the department on project teams under supervision of a senior scientific staff member.\n-May initiate productive collaborations within and outside of the department or company.\n-Advises or assists others in experimental design and/or interpretation/diagnosis of data and implementing innovative remedies.\n-Independently authors scientific reports, summary documents, complex regulatory documents, invention disclosure submissions and/or patents.\n-Participates in external scientific community.\n-May assume lead role in department-wide support efforts such as safety, recruiting and committees.\n-May develop supervisory and mentoring skills.\n-Develops and follows timelines for completing project team work.\nCOMPETENCIES/SKILLS\n-Advanced scientific analysis and troubleshooting skills. Advanced laboratory work skills.\n-Ability to motivate and/or supervise the activities of others.\n-Must be well organized, have multi-task project experience, and be able to communicate and work well with other departments.\n-Must have demonstrated skills and competencies in the following areas: Verbal communication, Written communication including technical writing skills, negotiation and conflict resolution. Analytical problem solving. Project management.\n-Ability to be flexible and manage change.\n-Computer literacy (Windows environment: Word, Excel, Power Point).\n-Skills requiring the application of scientific theory.\n-Creative skills in the design and performance of scientific experiments and interpretation of results.\n-Strong knowledge of cGMP\n-Fully bilingual (English/Spanish)\nJob Types: Full-time, Contract\nPay: $48.00 -
