{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"02b306b34d135835ade15ad8","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/02b306b34d135835ade15ad8","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/02b306b34d135835ade15ad8","title":"Program BOM Engineer I","description":"PROGRAM/BOM ENGINEER\nLEAR CORPORATION PLANT - DUNCAN, SC\n\nThe Program/BOM Engineer is responsible for complete Program Management with new program launches and program maintenance, and for managing and coordinating engineering changes with the JIT plants.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nReview BOMs received from the central BOM team in Munich and manage engineering change control.\n\nCreate and build new BOMs in the ERP system and Ujigami.\n\nSubmit new BOMs to be built in the Access database (current) and independently build them in SAP (future).\n\nMaintain BOMs monthly, auditing between ERP, Ujigami, and Access.\n\nUse MS Excel for rapid comparisons and identification of similarities and differences in BOMs.\n\nCreate engineering change notices for upcoming changes and communicate them to CKD customers.\n\nCoordinate upcoming part/engineering changes with the responsible JIT plants.\n\nComplete program management for new program launches and program maintenance.\n\nQualifications:\n\nKnowledge of raw materials, production processes, and efficiencies, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.\n\nKnowledge of the various functions of an automotive plant such as maintenance, quality, production control, safety, operations, and materials.\n\nKnowledge of strategies such as product lifecycle management (PLM), just‑in‑time, and self‑directed teams.\n\nKnowledge of Lear’s organizational rules, regulations, procedures, and practices.\n\nKnowledge of applicable rules and regulations for environmental control and other regulatory authorities.\n\nAbility to create results, build teams, foster trust, and handle resistance to change.\n\nAbility to assess multiple events and circumstances to establish a course of action.\n\nRecognize relationships between facts, information, or situations to integrate information from various sources.\n\nEvaluate alternatives and anticipate consequences of various courses of action.\n\nProvide sound rationale and explanations for decisions and actions.\n\nCommunicate information objectively without personal bias.\n\nTake an unpopular stand when necessary.\n\nRead and understand information and ideas presented in writing.\n\nAnalyze problems, ask appropriate questions, gather additional information to identify causes and solutions.\n\nCommunicate at all levels within the organization and with customers and vendors.\n\nMulti‑task with multiple priorities and time frames.\n\nSpecial Qualifications:\n\nKnowledge of ISO 14001, OSHA, and TS16949 requirements and compliance.\n\nEducation:\n\nAssociate’s Degree required.
