seeking an experienced Release Manager to support a large-scale State government technology modernization initiative.The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing the release lifecycle across enterprise environments, coordinating development, QA, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to ensure releases are properly planned, tested, approved, documented, and deployed.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage the release management lifecycle across development, testing, UAT, staging, and production.Develop and maintain release schedules and deployment calendars.Coordinate release activities across development, QA, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.Ensure release documentation, deployment plans, rollback procedures, and approvals are complete.Manage version control and release readiness activities.Identify and mitigate release risks and issues.Lead release planning meetings, readiness reviews, and deployment coordination.Ensure releases follow established change management and governance processes.Support production deployments and post-release stabilization.Coordinate environment readiness and release dependencies across workstreams.Provide release status and reporting to project leadership and stakeholders.Continuously improve release management and deployment processes.Requirements5+ years of experience in Release Management supporting large-scale enterprise or government systems.Strong knowledge of release management, deployment management, and change control.Experience managing releases across development, testing, UAT, and production environments.Experience with version control and release/deployment tools.Strong understanding of SDLC processes.Ability to manage multiple releases and competing priorities.Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.Experience coordinating technical and business stakeholders across complex programs.Preferred QualificationsState government or public-sector consulting experience.Healthcare, Medicaid, or Human Services system experience.DevOps and Change Management experience.Experience participating in Change Advisory Boards (CABs).Experience supporting large-scale system modernization initiatives.Knowledge of CI/CD and automated deployment practices.ITIL certification or IT service management experience.Experience supporting mission-critical citizen-facing
