{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"0282b4140f24b2750840a688","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/0282b4140f24b2750840a688","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/0282b4140f24b2750840a688","title":"Material Handler/Forklift Operator","description":"Material Handler Schedule: 7am - 3:30pm\nSummary\nThe Material Handler maintains production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished product.\nRESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:\nMaintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.\nLocates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.\nMaintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.\nDocuments materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.\nPrepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.\nDocuments product shipment by recording units shipped.\nMaintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.\nJOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:\nCertification in forklift operation\n5 years of previous work experience operating a lift truck in a manufacturing or warehouse environment (stand-up and sit-down forklift experience required)\nKnowledge of operating other warehouse machinery\nData entry, math, and computer skills\nPhysically fit with the ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100 pounds\nEffective leadership and team management skills\nAttention to detail and problem-solving skills\nExcellent time management and organizational skills\nWritten and verbal communication skills\nEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh School Diploma/GED required\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nPhysical requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting, bending, stooping, walking, light lifting, climbing stairs, manual dexterity, direct exposure to heat and safety hazards associated with production environment, and computer operation.\nThe physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
