Industrial Controls Technician
Position: Industrial Controls Technician Salary Grade: 3
Primary Purpose:
Responsibilities:
Install, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems to control and monitor industrial machinery and equipment
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on industrial control systems to ensure optimal functionality
Diagnose and resolve issues in PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, and other electrical components
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to design and implement control systems for new projects
Conduct thorough testing of control systems to ensure accuracy and reliability
Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately for future reference

Essential qualifications and skills
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or certification in a related field is preferred
Proven experience as an Industrial Controls Technician with strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting
Familiarity with various brands of PLCs such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider Electric
Proficient in reading electrical schematics and technical drawings
Ability to diagnose issues in electrical systems using diagnostic tools
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform quick repairs under pressure
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
