This includes programmatic integration of third-party components, introduction of new custom capabilities, modification of existing code, process improvement recommendations, and automation of operations and maintenance tasks. The Software Engineer develops and implements technical efforts to design, build, and deploy applications under the direction of lead architects, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics. This role participates in all aspects of the software development life cycle for all solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, test, and manage application development projects in support of IT infrastructure.\nIntegrate third-party components programmatically and introduce new custom capabilities.\nModify existing code to enhance functionality and performance.\nRecommend process improvements and automate operations and maintenance tasks.\nDevelop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy applications under the direction of lead architects.\nWork on large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics.\nParticipate in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.\nConduct technical project milestone reviews, code architecture sessions, resource estimation, and development best practices knowledge transfer.\nThe position would be located at a government facility in Chantilly, Virginia, and require work to be performed onsite. Any hybrid work schedule would require customer approval. The government has established policies for on-site vs hybrid work which varies across divisions and contracts. Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.\n\nThe annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 – $145,000.
