9:30pm-7:30pm - Third shift - Must be available any day of the week /to include weekends Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Corrections Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care within a correctional facility. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in acute and chronic care settings, including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, and long-term care. This role involves managing a diverse patient population with complex medical needs, ensuring adherence to HIPAA and infection control standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality healthcare. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is essential. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation. Administer medications via injections, IV infusions, and other routes following aseptic techniques. Manage airway interventions, ventilator support, and perform advanced procedures such as suturing and tube feeding. Perform diagnostic evaluations including specimen collection/processing and laboratory testing. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health records systems like Epic or Cerner.
