Audio Visual (AV) Lead Technician (DFW)

Network Cabling Services (NCS) is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Lead Technician to support commercial AV projects throughout the Houston area. This is a hands-on leadership role for a technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys leading crews in the field from kickoff through final completion. The AV Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing daily installation activities, maintaining project standards, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with NCS expectations. This position offers long-term growth, including manufacturer training and industry certifications sponsored by the company. Key Responsibilities Lead commercial AV installation projects from mobilization to closeout. Serve as on-site lead, directing field crews and coordinating daily activities. Assign tasks and monitor productivity, quality, and safety compliance. Perform and oversee AV cabling, rack fabrication, equipment installation, system integration, and trim-out. Review project drawings and maintain accurate redlines and as-built documentation. Ensure installations meet applicable codes, standards, and company requirements. Maintain working knowledge of current AV technologies and integration practices. Represent NCS professionally on job sites and when interacting with clients. Operate company vehicles as required. Travel as needed based on project demands. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. Minimum of 3 years of commercial AV installation experience. Prior experience in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with project managers and field teams. Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Authorized to work in the United States.
