Other duties may be assigned.\n\nReads and interprets blueprints\n\nDetermines gas type, nozzle size, and focus of lens based on material type and thickness.\n\nSets up, adjusts, and operates a computer controlled laser cutting machine.\n\nMakes adjustments as needed.\n\nCreates inspection sheets.\n\nInspects parts using precision measuring equipment and documents inspection data.\n\nPerforms daily and weekly maintenance as it relates to laser cutting equipment.\n\nPrograms using priority dispatch.\n\nCleans and organizes work area.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE\nOne year certificate from college or technical school; 1-3 years related experience and/or training and a High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos, as well as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization.\n\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.\n\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
