This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.\n\nResponsibilities:\nEvaluate and analyze all of the equipment throughout the plant to ensure optimization of the process areas and identify any new issues that need attention.\nPerforms daily inspections on the work performed to ensure the work is completed and equipment is in proper operation to release to Production.\nEnsure compliance with Company safety policies and MSHA/OSHA regulations. Conduct crew safety meetings and required inspections to ensure a safe working environment.\nResearch and implement the current electrical safety codes, training, and safe electrical work practices to ensure the electrical personnel and equipment are as efficient as possible for the plant operations.\nCreate a purchase requisition of parts and tools needed for our department.\nEnsure equipment, work areas, measuring instruments, tools, and accessories are in a safe, clean, neat, and orderly condition\nAdministration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Plant Time Keeping System, including participation in disciplinary and grievance processes.\nEvaluate stock in the warehouse and create new SAP's for items that are not in our system.\nReviews and audits all tools and materials, ensuring all resources are available for the tasks at hand, e.g., tools, manpower, parts, and any manuals or drawings involved.\nCoordination and Scheduling of the maintenance to be performed the next day with the production and maintenance supervisors, alongside the department coordinator, to provide longevity and consistent production.\nConduct electrical and water meter readings.\nProvide ongoing maintenance support to the plant for all shifts by participating in the plant’s on-call program. This includes evaluating and determining the course of action for maintenance incidents after hours and on weekends while on call, and may require on-site supervision of the resolution to maintain operational efficiency.\nOther duties as assigned.\nKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:\nAn associate's degree in a vocational or technical field ( e.g., Industrial Electrical, Electrical Engineer) is preferred.\nMinimum of 2 years as an electrical coordinator or supervisor in heavy industry, mining, or cement plant experience.\nMinimum 5 years of electrical experience in an industrial mining facility (preferably cement).\nExperience working with electrical equipment/installations in a heavy industrial setting, including VFDs, low and medium-voltage switchgear,12.5 kv, I/O systems, protective relays, industrial motors, and instrumentation.
