Responsibilities will vary, but the selected candidate will contribute to areas such as new product development, managing changes, and product validation and qualification testing.\n\nSuccessful candidates will use their deep knowledge in mechanical engineering to successfully manage complex projects and drive results. We are looking for self‑starters and decision makers that are comfortable in new situations where success is dependent on quickly understanding client challenges and addressing them. This individual must have excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and be able to communicate effectively with different engineering disciplines, project and client leadership.\n\nThis position will be fully onsite and we are only seeking candidates in the greater Seattle area or candidates who are willing to relocate to the Seattle area.\n\nTypical Responsibilities\n\nWork cross‑functionally to create, release, and support products\n\nManage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs\n\nLead product validation and qualification testing\n\nManage the design of electromechanical systems to meet requirements\n\nAnalyze, optimize, build, test, and refine new products and sustaining solutions to meet goals\n\nLead prototyping, manufacturing processes, materials, post‑processes, coatings and finishes\n\nUtilize PTC CREO and Windchill to create and modify 3D models, and component and assembly drawings\n\nConduct failure analysis\n\nLead and mentor other engineers\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical course of study\n\nMinimum of 6+ years of engineering or consulting experience\n\nA consultative mindset and strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentations) to work directly with client multidisciplinary teams to solve problems and advance client’s objectives\n\nProven mechanical engineering and problem‑solving skills in an integrated team environment\n\nProven track record of managing time and resources to meet deadlines\n\nExperience with PTC WF4 or CREO for 3D CAD modeling\n\nAbility to make decisions and execute to the plan\n\nAbility to earn the trust of clients and influence leadership and key technical resources\n\nMaintains positive and professional relationships and promotes an environment of teaming and collaboration in a diverse work environment\n\nAvailable to be onsite at client facilities as needed\n\nMust be a US Person – U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience working in regulated industries such as defense or aviation\n\nExperience working in a consulting or engineering services company\n\nExperience with product development life cycle\n\nExperience in Optical Engineering and Lighting\n\nExperience with DO160\n\nExperience using industry leading requirements management tools (DOORS Classic/DNG, JAMA etc.)\n\nExperience using Confluence and JIRA\n\nKnowledge of Configuration Management\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nThe salary range for this position is currently $142,996 to $177,000 based on current market data. Actual compensation will depend on the successful candidate’s work location, qualifications, skills, and depth of experience. As an employee‑owned company, the total compensation for this position will include Stock Options and eligibility for the Utilization, VP Accelerator and Profit‑Sharing bonus programs. Our comprehensive benefits include 401k matching; medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible spending accounts; life and disability insurance; and a generous company contribution to an HSA account.
