The engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining AC/DC power distribution designs, including system schematics, cable assemblies, and grounding strategies, while ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NEC, UL, IEEE, and NEBS.\nWorking cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers, the position focuses on delivering cost-effective, reliable solutions that meet project timelines. The role also involves troubleshooting technical issues, supporting system integration, and providing guidance to team members within a collaborative engineering environment.\n\nKey responsibilities:\nCollaborate with suppliers on product design and cost optimization\nSupport project timelines and cost targets\nCommunicate technical information clearly and effectively\nWork collaboratively in a team environment\nProvide technical guidance to team members\nTroubleshoot and resolve electrical engineering issues\nEnsure compliance with applicable codes and standards\nDesign cable assemblies and harnesses; develop AC/DC system schematics\nPrepare and maintain engineering documentation\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in electrical or Power Engineering (or equivalent experience)\n5–10 years in electrical product development for mission-critical systems\nStrong knowledge of AC/DC power distribution, including low-voltage three-phase systems\nExperience with power systems, control, and metering\nSolid grounding (earthing) design knowledge\nFamiliarity with Telcordia, UL, NEC, IEEE, and NEBS standards\nAbility to solve moderately complex technical problems\nPractical application of engineering principles in design and production\nProficiency with MS Office and ERP systems\nStrong problem-solving and analytical ability\nEffective communication (written and verbal)\nAbility to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines\nTeam-oriented with strong organizational skills\nDetail-oriented and dependable\nProactive with a strong sense of ownership\nPositive attitude and willingness to learn\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPerform other duties as assigned\nPrimarily desk-based role with standard physical activity (standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs)\nAbility to differentiate colors required\nOccasional domestic and/or international travel\nBenefit at Delta Electronics Americas:\nLife at Delta\nEEO Statement:\nDelta Electronics Americas is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
