You'll be the senior technical accounting authority in the organization, responsible for the full external reporting lifecycle and serving as a trusted advisor to finance leadership and the board. If you're looking for a role where you can put your stamp on a function and be recognized for it, this is worth a conversation.Responsibilities:Own the preparation and filing of all SEC documents — including drafting disclosures and footnotes from scratchLead the quarterly disclosure committee and own the Audit Committee deckServe as the primary resource for technical accounting questions across the business — M&A, equity compensation, revenue recognition, leases, and emerging issuesResearch and document complex accounting positions; author technical memos and communicate impacts to leadershipOversee equity administration and SBC accountingManage month-end and quarter-end close responsibilities within scope, including lease and operational accountingBuild and maintain corporate accounting policies; monitor FASB and SEC developmentsMust-Have Skills:Active CPA with 12+ years in technical accounting and financial reporting — Big 4 background at the Senior Manager level or above requiredHands-on, end-to-end SEC reporting experience — you've independently written disclosures and footnotes, not just reviewed themM&A accounting experience — business combinations, purchase price allocations, and post-close integrationSaaS or FinTech industry backgroundStrong written communication skills — the ability to translate complex accounting into clear, precise language for executives and board membersNice-to-Have Skills:Experience leading or participating in a disclosure committee at a public companyFamiliarity with equity reporting platforms (e.g. Active Disclosure or similar)Exposure to high-growth or fast-scaling finance environments
