Additionally, the Pre-Apprentice will assist with small maintenance items, such as filter changes.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nAssist with HVAC service and installations.\nClean parts such as coils, etc.\nPower wash HVAC equipment units.\nLearn to perform filter changes on equipment.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent, enrolled in HVAC program preferred.\nAbility to communicate with internal team and customers.\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions.\nAbility to use hand and power tools.\n\nPhysical Demands\n\nMust be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools, recovery equipment, and various other HVAC equipment. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. This position requires: stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of medium work.\n\nWork Environment\n\nThis job operates primarily alone on HVAC and boiler equipment in all environments, which includes extreme cold or heat depending on the time of year.
