Activities include the design, analysis, testing, manufacturing and installation support through all phases of project development and deployment.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDesign activities will include creative brainstorming, proof-of-concept calculations, system layouts, top‑down assembly design, detail component design and drafting.\n\nAnalysis activities will include classical handbook calculations, engineering spreadsheets, and Finite Element Analysis for determinations of structural integrity, stability, fatigue, and fracture per the applicable company practices and industry driving requirements.\n\nTesting activities will include hands‑on involvement during internal verification programs, as well as technical monitoring of external laboratories.\n\nManufacturing support will include direct interface with both internal and external shops to promote efficient product development, mitigate non‑conformances, and provide disposition as necessary.\n\nInstallation assistance will be required for each product through installation, operation, repair, and decommission.\n\nProject planning in terms of the following: system layout and detail design; system analysis and verification; manufacturing support; documentation; reports; design reviews and customer presentations.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned\n\nRequired Skills and Experience\n\nRequired: Bachelor’s degree from four‑year accredited college or university, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent.\n\nPreferred: Advanced degree in Engineering, business or other technical focus.\n\nPreferred: Licensing/Registration/Certification – P.E. License Preferred.\n\nMust be proficient with SolidWorks.\n\nFamiliarity with linear and nonlinear structural FEA software a plus.\n\nExperience with Abaqus/CAE preferred.\n\nExperience with other 3D CAD systems a plus.\n\nExperience with deepwater riser systems or subsea hardware is a plus.\n\nTo perform in this position successfully, an individual must be able to complete all areas outlined above for this position in a satisfactory manner.\n\nExperience with an engineering/fabrication company in the oil & gas industry.\n\nProficient in MS Office with a focus on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
