You will need a strong foundation in data analysis, machine learning, and control systems, combined with excellent communication and collaboration skills.\n\nCome join us!\n\nDescription\n\nKey responsibilities at this role would include\n\nDriving Power Data Insights: Performing in-depth data analytics and analysis on vast datasets generated by multiple generations of iPhones to find opportunities for power optimization and user experience enhancements.\n\nLeveraging Machine Learning for Impact: Applying expertise in machine learning techniques to analyze field data and provide actionable recommendations to multi-functional teams, guiding design decisions and improving power efficiency.\n\nOwning up Data Infrastructure: Supporting and enhancing our automated power data collection infrastructure for the latest iPhones, ensuring the integrity and availability of critical data.\n\nDeveloping Visual Insights: Creating insightful visualization tools to empower multi-functional teams to effectively understand and interpret power performance data, enabling data-driven decisions.\n\nConducting Use Case Analysis: Leading detailed power analysis of key use cases, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to innovative power-saving strategies.\n\nDriving Future Innovation: Research, develop, and champion innovative power-saving algorithms and techniques to shape the future of iPhone power management, pushing the boundaries of mobile technology.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nMS/PhD in Electrical Engineering (EE) or a related field is preferred\n\nDeep understanding of probability, statistics, algorithms, and mathematics, enabling you to develop and interpret sophisticated models\n\nProven ability to process, analyze, visualize, and data mine large volumes of data to extract actionable insights and drive data-driven decisions\n\nExceptional communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills, enabling you to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences and drive consensus\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nBS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering (EE) or a related field.\n\n3+ years of industry experience\n\nHands-on experience implementing modern machine learning techniques, including regression, classification, and clustering, to solve real-world problems.\n\nProficiency in software tools essential for data analysis and modeling, including Matlab, C/C++, R, and Python.\n\nPay & Benefits\n\nAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.\n\nApple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
