This role ensures high availability, security, and optimal performance of network systems while supporting business operations and IT initiatives. The Network Engineer collaborates with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deploy network solutions and resolve technical issues.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nNetwork Design & Implementation:\nDesign and implement secure and scalable network infrastructure solutions.\nConfigure and install network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.\nAssist in developing network architecture to support business needs and growth.\nNetwork Administration & Maintenance:\nMonitor network performance, availability, and security.\nPerform routine maintenance, updates, and patches for network devices.\nIdentify and troubleshoot network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal functionality.\nSecurity & Compliance:\nImplement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.\nEnsure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.\nConduct network vulnerability assessments and respond to security threats.\nTechnical Support & Troubleshooting:\nProvide Level 2/3 support for network-related issues.\nCollaborate with IT teams to resolve connectivity problems affecting users and business applications.\nDocument network configurations, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.\nVendor & Stakeholder Collaboration:\nWork with vendors and service providers to procure and maintain network equipment.\nAssist in evaluating new technologies and making recommendations for improvements.\nCoordinate with internal teams to support IT projects and initiatives.\nQualifications:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required, or combination of experience and education.\nExperience: 3+ years of experience in network engineering, administration, or related IT roles.\nClearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly\nRequired Skills:\nExperience with network security, firewalls, and VPNs.\nHands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent networking equipment\nStrong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.).\nProficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls.\nExperience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.\nUnderstanding cybersecurity principles and network security best practices.\nExcellent problem-solving and communication skills.\nPreferred Skills:\nIndustry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.\nExperience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, etc.).\nFamiliarity with SD-WAN and network automation tools.\nKnowledge of VoIP and wireless networking solutions.\n\nWork Environment/Physical Requirements:\nPrimarily office-based with occasional data center or network equipment room access.\nMay require lifting and installing networking hardware (up to 50 lbs).\nOn-call availability or after-hours support may be required for network incidents.\n\nWork Schedule:\nThis is a full-time position, typically working 40 hours per week.
