Your main responsibility will be to safely and efficiently operate a sit-down forklift to move, stack, load, and unload materials, products, and equipment. This role requires a strong commitment to BWT’s expectations around reliability, professional conduct, and a positive work environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nOperate sit-down forklifts to load, unload, move, and stack materials within the warehouse.\nSafely maneuver forklifts in narrow aisles and congested areas while following all safety procedures.\nPerform routine inspections and maintenance checks; report equipment issues to the supervisor.\nVerify received goods against purchase orders or delivery documents; report discrepancies.\nAssist with the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring materials are properly secured.\nUse forklift attachments when required for specific types of materials.\nMaintain a clean and organized workspace, including aisles and storage areas.\nAccurately update inventory records and follow inventory control procedures.\nCollaborate with team members to fulfill orders and support timely deliveries.\nFollow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.\nPerform other warehouse tasks as assigned.\nQualifications\nMinimum of 2 years operating a sit-down forklift.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nProven ability to operate sit-down forklifts safely and effectively.\nPrior warehouse or logistics experience preferred.\nForklift certification preferred.\nFamiliarity with warehouse procedures and OSHA safety standards.\nStrong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.\nAttention to detail and accuracy in documentation.\nStrong teamwork and communication skills.\nPre-employment background check and drug screen required.\nCertifications (Preferred)\nCertified Forklift Operator\nSkills\nAttention to detail and accuracy\nFamiliarity with industrial equipment and electronic systems (e.g., tablets, scanners)\nExcellent coordination and ability to operate machinery in a warehouse setting\nEffective communication and collaboration\nKnowledge of safety protocols and warehouse best practices\nPhysical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items\nCompensation and Benefits\nPay Rate: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour, based on experience\nBenefits (available after 90 days):\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance\nAncillary coverage options\nPaid Time Off (PTO)\nCompany-paid holidays\nOpportunities for career growth and advancement\nSchedule\n1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30/4:00 PM (Monday – Friday)\n2nd Shift: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM (Monday – Friday)\nPPE Requirements\nSteel-toe boots required.
