Perform clerical duties and other work as assigned.\n\nMINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS\n\nMust be 18 years of age\n\nAbility to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance and customer service\n\nDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with residents, guests, and staff\n\nMeet state related requirements (if applicable to position)\n\nAbility to work in a team setting and be a team player\n\nMaintain a positive, respectful, and professional approach with coworkers and residents.\n\nAbility to keep all business and operations information confidential\n\nPossess organizational skills and ability to problem solve\n\nPossess excellent customer service and public relations skills\n\nAbility to work under time constraints and meet department deadlines while adhering to policies, procedures, and standards\n\nAbility to periodically move about on foot in the community to perform security checks and assist residents, particularly for long distances or periods of time\n\nExperience in computer use and relevant software applications are preferred\n\nSatisfactorily pass Sunshine’s and state regulated criminal record clearance, health screening and TB clearance (if applicable)\n\nESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nComplete routine housekeeping duties including but not limited to the following: emptying trash, dust and vacuum, mopping, sweeping, restocking and cleaning bathrooms\n\nStaff the reception desk during assigned period\n\nRepresents the Community to coworkers, residents, and visitors in professional, courteous, friendly manner\n\nGraciously greets all residents and visitors and politely assists them as necessary\n\nPerforms clerical duties as directed\n\nMaintains detailed Resident and guest Register, daily communication log entry, and completes daily checklist log\n\nMaintain a clean and safe workspace, community entrance, lobby, and hydration station\n\nPromptly answers telephone, directing incoming communications to appropriate person\n\nMonitors fax machine, directing incoming communications to appropriate person\n\nPerforms frequent security checks to ensure safety of the Community and its residents\n\nMonitors and responds to resident call and exit alarm systems and handles emergency procedures immediately. Contacts 911 if necessary and notifies management and families if a resident requires assistance\n\nMaintains inventory control system for all office supplies and notifies manager of any needed supplies; orders such supplies as directed by Assistant Manager\n\nPerforms simple, routine maintenance of office equipment\n\nPerform coffee service at dinnertime, if needed\n\nAssist the kitchen staff with shutting down kitchen after mealtime by closing and locking the doors and windows and turning off the lights\n\nPrint and fold the weekly menu and monthly calendar and fold dining napkins\n\nPerforms housekeeping functions in common area by vacuuming and spot cleaning carpets; removing cobwebs from ceilings and walls; and dusting furniture, shelves, light fixtures, and other surfaces\n\nPerform simple maintenance duties as needed for residents such as unclogging toilets, turning off water to leaking faucets, mopping up overflowing sinks or toilets, and delivering toilet paper\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned by Supervisor\n\nOTHER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nPerform all work assigned for the agreed-upon salary, accepting no additional payment or non-perishable gifts from residents, vendors, Community Management, or others\n\nMeet the assigned work requirements of the job.
