Interns build core professional skills—time management, communication, teamwork, problem‑solving, and networking—while contributing to real work that matters to the business. ASPIRE is a structured, mentorship‑rich program with HR‑led learning workshops that is concluded by interns presenting their final projects to a Forescout leadership panel.\n\nProgram Details and Requirements\n\n10-week paid summer intern program located in Plano, TX from June 1st to August 6th.\n\nInterns will earn income during the 10-week program at an hourly rate of $30 USD for a maximum of 30 hours per week.\n\nEducation Requirement: At minimum, you must have completed your third year of college, university, or an equivalent trade or technical school.\n\nAcademic Requirement: Eligible interns must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher; an official transcript is required for your application.\n\nLocation Requirement: This internship is in‑office / hybrid. You must be currently located within a commutable distance or have the ability to temporarily relocate to Plano, TX at your own expense.\n\nParticipation Requirement: You must be available for the full duration of the 10-week program.\n\nWhat We are Looking for\n\nCritical Thinking – Ability to quickly learn new concepts and apply them to real‑world challenges.\n\nProblem‑Solving – Eager to analyze complex situations, use logic and data to explore options, and execute thoughtful solutions.\n\nTeamwork – Ability to work well with others, communicate openly, and contribute positively toward shared goals.\n\nInterpersonal Skills – Willingness to build respectful, effective relationships and collaborate with people with diverse perspectives and backgrounds.\n\nCommunication (Verbal, Written & Presentation) – Can clearly and confidently explain work processes and outcomes, and can adapt the delivery to different audiences.\n\nTechnical Aptitude – Ability to learn new technologies, tools, and systems quickly, apply technical concepts to real problems, and adapt in a fast‑paced technical environment.\n\nWhat You Will Accomplish During This Internship\nProject\n\nImprove and scale our workflow for the automated tracking of command‑and‑control (C2) servers, helping strengthen visibility into emerging threats.\n\nDaily activities\n\nResearch and identify new indicators and develop signatures to expand and enhance existing threat intelligence databases.\n\nExplore and implement new tracking methodologies to improve accuracy, coverage, and efficiency of C2 detection.\n\nExpand threat research by sourcing and analyzing data from additional internal and external intelligence feeds.\n\nCollaborate with experienced researchers and engineers to validate findings and translate research into actionable outcomes.\n\nRequired Qualifications & Skills\n\nPursuing a degree related to Computer Science, Networking or Cybersecurity.\n\nExperience with Python programming language and Linux.\n\nBasic understanding of cybersecurity and networking.\n\nStrong collaboration, communication and personal accountability skills – Ability to work both in team environments or independently, take initiative to seek feedback, and practice excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.\n\nStrong presentation skills – Ability to learn and adopt new tools and processes and effectively present progress, outcomes, and solutions to teams and leadership.\n\nEEO Statement\nForescout Technologies is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
