If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.\nJob Description:\nWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mainframe z/VM System programmer to support and maintain our enterprise IBM Z mainframe infrastructure. This is a critical role in a complex, high-availability mainframe product development environment, with a primary focus on the administration of the z/VM environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nz/VM System Administration & Support:\nInstall, configure, administer, and maintain IBM z/VM operating systems, providing expert-level support.\nDefine and manage VM guests for various operating systems, including z/OS, z/VM, z/Linux, and z/VSE.\nCollaborate with VM guest owners to ensure the appropriate allocation of virtual and real resources.\nConfigure and administer essential VM service machines (e.g., RSCS, TCPIP SSL, VTAM, and Certificate Management).\nEnsure proficiency in the building, backup, and restoration of DCSS and NSS segments.\nProduct Expertise & Troubleshooting:\nDemonstrate extensive experience using the CA/Broadcom suite of VM products.\nInstall, maintain, and configure VM products from IBM and other third-party vendors.\nApply strong troubleshooting and implementation skills to quickly resolve complex issues and maintain system stability.\nRequired Skills and Experience\nExtensive hands-on experience with IBM z/VM administration and support.\nProven ability to work effectively in a demanding, high-availability production environment.\nExperience with guest provisioning and management of z/OS, z/VM, and z/VSE under z/VM.\nDesirable Skills\nExpertise in Hardware Configuration Definition (HCD) and Input/Output Configuration Data Set (IOCDS) management.\nAbility to update and manage hardware configurations, including definitions for the processor, channels, control units, and devices.\nTechnical knowledge of IBM Z hardware configuration and I/O subsystem design.\nEducation/Experience\nBachelor's degree in Engineering and 8+ years of related experience or Masters degree in Engineering/Computer Science and 6+ years of related experience\nAdditional Job Description:\nCompensation and Benefits\nThe annual base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $172,800\nThis position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.\nBroadcom offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental and vision plans, 401(K) participation including company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company paid holidays, paid sick leave and vacation time.
