This role is ideal for engineers who possess a strong structural design background and a passion for infrastructure that makes a difference.\n\n***We will consider candidates for any of our open positions across all nine (9) Water Works Engineers' locations.***\n\nYour daily impact:\n\nLead or contribute to structural design of buildings and water-related infrastructure, including analysis and preparation of calculations, drawings, and specifications.\nServe as a technical expert on structural aspects of multidisciplinary projects, collaborating with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, and Geotechnical engineers.\nPrepare and review design documentation for regulatory approvals, building permits, and construction submittals.\nDevelop and manage cost estimates and structural scopes within broader project budgets.\nPerform or oversee QA/QC for structural deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with applicable codes.\nSupport or lead construction phase services including site inspections, submittal reviews, RFI responses, and structural observation reports.\nMentor junior engineers and technical staff; share knowledge to support team development.\nApply knowledge of current structural codes (IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE, etc.) and industry standards to all phases of design and construction.\nRemain current with structural engineering innovations, tools, and best practices to improve design quality and efficiency..\n\nWhat you bring to the table:\n\nBachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program.\n7+ years of experience in structural engineering; experience with water/wastewater facilities preferred.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license is required in any U.S. state, with the ability to obtain reciprocity in Utah or Arizona. Candidates with PE licensure must demonstrate strong technical design experience and the ability to contribute to structural analysis, prepare design documents, and provide QA/QC on structural components of water infrastructure projects.\nStructural Engineer (SE) license is highly desired.
