Clinic Support Assistant
Job Summary
The Clinic Support Assistant plays a dual role in ensuring high-quality care for patients and exceptional service for clients. This position provides flexible support across both front-desk reception and back-end veterinary assistant responsibilities while also providing general support for clinic operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, and able to shift seamlessly between administrative and clinical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Client Services (Reception Duties):
Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism.
Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and maintain accurate client records.
Process invoices, payments, and maintain front office cleanliness.
Answer phones, respond to emails, and handle client inquiries.
Veterinary Assistance:
Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
Restrain animals safely and compassionately for examinations and treatments as needed.
Prepare exam rooms, surgical areas, and equipment.
Monitor patients pre- and post-procedure as directed.
Administer medications and collect lab samples under supervision.
General Clinic Support:
Act as a floater between reception and treatment areas as needed.
Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms, treatment areas, and kennels.
Support inventory management and supply restocking.
Adhere to clinic policies, safety procedures, and animal handling protocols.
Support and assist Practice Manager with clinic operations.
Qualifications
Prior experience as a veterinary assistant or receptionist in a veterinary clinic preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required; veterinary assistant certification a plus.
Strong communication and multitasking skills.
Comfortable working with animals of various temperaments and sizes.
Ability to work on your feet for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
