You’ll spend time working with developers, reviewing code, helping solve technical problems, facilitating development teams, and shaping how the program operates.\n\n*What You'll Do*\n\n* Mentor junior and aspiring software engineers\n* Lead and support development teams working on WSS projects\n* Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback\n* Help developers troubleshoot technical problems\n* Facilitate sprint planning, refinement, and other development meetings\n* Help members understand professional software development practices\n* Help improve WSS's onboarding, curriculum, and development processes\n* Establish and reinforce coding and engineering best practices\n* Help determine technical direction and project priorities\n* Identify opportunities for members to take on additional responsibility\n* Help develop future technical leaders within the WSS community\n* Work with the Program Lead to improve the overall structure, processes, and culture of the program\n\n*What We're Looking For*\n\nWe're looking for an experienced software engineer or an advanced junior engineer with real-world development experience who enjoys mentoring others, solving technical problems, and helping teams succeed.\n\nYou should have solid software development fundamentals, good communication skills, and an interest in taking on leadership responsibilities. Experience with *.NET/C#, web development, cloud platforms, DevOps, AI, or distributed systems* is helpful, but we're open to engineers with other technical backgrounds.\n\nThe most important qualities are a willingness to mentor, strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and an interest in helping other developers grow.\n\n*Time Commitment*\n\nThe expected commitment is *5–10 hours per week*, primarily during after-hours and evenings.\n\nThe schedule is flexible.
