Buyer/Purchasing Agent

Job Summary As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services to meet the company's operational needs. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery of quality products while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Duties - Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate terms to secure advantageous agreements - Collaborate with internal teams to understand their requirements and ensure alignment with purchasing objectives - Monitor inventory levels and track deliveries to ensure timely supply of materials - Support production planning by coordinating with logistics and supply chain management -Evaluate supplier performance and address issues as needed -Assist in cycle counting Qualifications - Proficient in Microsoft Office products - Proven experience in materials management, logistics, and production planning - Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions - Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency - Previous experience in selling or sales-related activities is a plus Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Ability to Relocate: Nesquehoning, PA 18240: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
