{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"00d63589fc9e7ddaa0228e00","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/00d63589fc9e7ddaa0228e00","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/00d63589fc9e7ddaa0228e00","title":"NDT Level II Inspector","description":"2nd Shift- Hours 2pm-10:30pm- OT opportunity and Saturdays OT for day shift\nPosition Summary:\nPerforms various Non-Destructive testing such as , Florescent Penetrant Inspection and Pressure Testing and reporting.\nPrimary Duties & Responsibilities:\n· Visual dimensional inspections and maintains accurate documentation on a variety of parts in accordance with ANSI Y 14-5 and certified operator program.\n· Provide assistance to other operators on proper operational procedures.\n· Perform 5S and other job related duties as assigned by supervisor.\n· Set up and conduct processes involving liquid penetrants and chemical etch inspection to detect, evaluate, and report on defects such as, porosity, cracks, and other discontinuities. NAS STD 410 and ASTME 1417.\n· Set up, adjust, and control electronic equipment such as ultraviolet devices to evaluate material contents, bonds, surface and sub-surface flows and discontinuities to the specification outlined by written procedure or verbal instruction.\n· Must apply basic math skills, read and interpret complex blue prints and geometric symbols to identify inspections requirements, and select proper measuring devices.\n· Visually and dimensionally inspect parts for conformance and take appropriate action to call out discrepancies.\n· Perform necessary part marking.\n· Generate and maintain all required logs and records as prescribed by customer or MIL Specs including lab reports, log books, non-conformance reports (NCRs), records, etc.\n· May be required to set-up and perform pressure testing on a variety of parts (SOP ATC 52-060-0000-00-082).\n· Maintain all required logs, documents, and records as required by the Certified Operator Program.\n· Move material within the cell.\n· Perform minor equipment maintenance.\n· Perform more than one operation at a time as directed by the supervisor.\n· Perform local etch prior to re-inspection, if needed.\nRequired Skills:\n· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n· Team player with a proactive, positive attitude and a strong sense of self-motivation, accountability, and responsibility.\n· Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities using strong organization and prioritization skills.\n· High degree of integrity.\n· Become a certified operator for Alloy Processing within 30 days of becoming active on the position.\n· Ability to read and write in the English language.\n· Ability to use measurement and other specialized inspection equipment.\n· Familiarity with manufacturing / processing environment preferred.\nRequired Experience:\n2+ years of NDT Level II inspection experience or equivalent experience.\nLevel of Education\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nAble to read and write in the English language\nCompleted certification hours for NDT Level II are a must\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.\nNote: This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
