The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and on-time delivery performance.\r\nDrivers operate vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) exceeding 26,000 pounds and may tow trailers exceeding 10,000 pounds. This position requires compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.\r\nDelivery OperationsSafely transport and deliver products, materials, and supplies to customer locations according to scheduled routes.\r\nLoad and/or assist with loading products and secure cargo to ensure safe transportation.\r\nPosition vehicles for loading and unloading activities and verify proper placement of equipment.\r\nAssist customers with unloading materials while protecting products and customer property from damage.\r\nVerify order accuracy by comparing delivered items against invoices and shipping documents.\r\nComplete delivery documentation, including mileage, delivery locations, quantities, and weights.\r\nCustomer ServiceServe as the primary point of contact between the company and customers during deliveries.\r\nMaintain a professional demeanor and deliver outstanding customer service.\r\nRespond to customer inquiries and help resolve delivery-related concerns in a timely manner.\r\nCompliance & SafetyConduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete all required documentation.\r\nMaintain Hours of Service (HOS) records and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) in accordance with DOT regulations.\r\nUtilize handheld technology to complete required reporting and compliance activities when the vehicle is not in operation.\r\nFollow all company, DOT, local, state, and federal safety regulations.\r\nAttend safety meetings and training sessions as required.\r\nEquipment & Facility OperationsMaintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of assigned vehicles.\r\nOperate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials as needed.\r\nProcess product returns, credit pickups, and related documentation.\r\nPerform other duties as assigned.\r\nRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.\r\nMust be at least 21 years of age.\r\nValid driver's license.\r\nValid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).\r\nMinimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience.\r\nAbility to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card within five (5) days of request.\r\nAcceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).\r\nFewer than five (5) moving violations within the past five (5) years.\r\nBasic math and measurement skills.\r\nAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.\r\nPreferred QualificationsTwo (2) or more years of Class A CDL driving experience.\r\nExperience delivering building materials or operating in a distribution environment.\r\nForklift operation experience and certification.\r\nWork Environment & Physical RequirementsWork is performed in warehouse, yard, and outdoor environments subject to varying weather conditions, temperature fluctuations, dust, noise, moving equipment, and other industrial conditions.\r\nFrequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 100 pounds.\r\nOccasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 200 pounds with assistance.\r\nPerform physical activities including climbing, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting.\r\nSafely enter and exit commercial vehicle cabs multiple times throughout the day.\r\nMaintain the physical ability to operate commercial vehicles, including twisting, turning, and maintaining full visibility while driving and maneuvering equipment.\r\nAs a BFS driver, you're there for our customers, so we're there for you.
